Her Table: Empowering the Next Generation of Female Culinary Leaders
International Women’s Day is an opportunity for men and women around the world to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about discrimination, and take action to drive gender equality. This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #InspireInclusion. It’s an invitation to imagine a world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination–all of which we see far too often in the male-dominated culinary industry.
At the Hands Offering Hope Culinary Institute in Kantunilkín Mexico, we’re training and empowering the next generation of culinary leaders. The reality is that the women enrolled in our program have to work twice as hard as their male counterparts to achieve the same level of success. From family expectations to workplace discrimination, they face challenges every step of the way as they pursue careers in the culinary field. At Hands Offering Hope, we are committed to walking with them as they overcome each and every obstacle that threatens to hold them back from achieving their goals. Will you join us?
