Winter Conference

Institute alumni who had returned to their schools as Leadership Club leaders decided that they didn’t need to wait until the summer to gather young people from Kantunilkín, Solferino, San Angel, and Chiquila.

In 2019, they planned our first Winter Conference—an entirely student-led event that featured speakers from around Mexico and the world. Hundreds of young people attended to learn more about leadership, self-discovery, self-expression, and communication—and a new tradition was born.

Now, each January, Institute alumni produce a three-day conference for young people in the region. It’s a bright spot on the Leadership Club’s calendars, and it serves as a great introduction to the Institute.
